Where Did February Go??

I am not sure where February went, but it seemed to just fly. I apologize for the lack of postings this month. Here are some random pictures of different happenings. We went to visit both sets of grandparents the last 2 weeks of February so stay tuned for pictures from our visit to MT and ND.

On the 10th of February Whitney was 2 month old. Here are her 2 month old bear pictures.
On Valentine's Day we went to Fargo for Gavin's birthday. He had a swimming party at the Come-On-Inn. It is hard to believe but Gavin is already 8 years old!!!
On one nice day in February we went to the Minnesota Zoo with the kids and our friends Jed, Becky, and Jack. We had a great day. Elliot's favorite exibit at the zoo were the "Coco's" , that is what he calls fish. He also enjoyed our ride on the train. It was a great day and we enjoyed being able to get outside.

Random Pictures of the Kids

Gavin is such a great brother! Elliot and Whitney love when he is around. Gavin loves holding Whitney and Whitney loves to be held. Elliot just enjoys spending time with his big brother. What great kids we have!!

Life with Elliot is never dull! He is always doing something that makes Grant and I laugh. Right now he is in to wearing different things. There aren't very many days that I don't find him dressed up in something or at least have something on his head. His 2 favorite things to put on right now are either his snow boots or some sort of hat.

Whitney continues to get bigger and bigger each day. She loves to talk and smile. I have been trying hard to capture her smile on camera but haven't gotten one yet. She is such a happy baby. What a joy it is to have her in our lives!

Next seasons Vikings Cheerleader (she does look cute in her little Vikings dress, but I sure hope that isn't one her life long goals)!!

Grant's Getting Old

I have been wanting to post these pictures for awhile now, but my blogger account wasn't working. It is up and running again so now I can do some postings. On Jan. 25th Grant turned 30! We had a wondrful weekend of celebrating. Doug and Mavis came up for the weekend. On Friday they took Grant and I out to eat at the Melting Pot in Minneapolis. The Melting Pot is a fondue resaurant that has very YUMMY food. Ryan and Lorelei were kind enough to take Elliot and Whitney for the evening. On Saturday I surprised Grant with a king crab dinner. Ryan and Lorelei and our friend Becky came over to help Grant celebrate. It was great food and even better company.

Weekend Fun with Gavin

Last weekend Gavin was here. He had lots of fun hanging ot with Whitney. He is such a good big brother to both Elliot and Whitney.

Gavin and Grant also enjoyed cooking together. They made yummy spaghetti and brownies.
We also went to the Community Center to swim.
Whitney enjoying her time at the pool (I am not even sure if she knew we were there)!

All Bundled Up

It has been extremely cold here in MN the past couple weeks. So we have not vetured outdoors very much, but the few times we did go out we got all bundled up. Here are a few pictures of Whitney all toasty warm in her snowsuits.

This picture shows how easy going of a baby she is. We were on are way to take Gavin back and didn't notice tht her hat was like this until we got to Evansville. She didn't complain about it once. She usually is bothered by the hat in her eyes, but not this time.

Sesame Street Live

This past Friday Elliot and I went to Sesame Street Live. Elliot is really into Elmo right now so all I heard through out the whole show was "Elmo, Elmo". We went with Marilyn and Jack Sager, baby Jack Sager (Jed and Becky's boy), and Kaylee (who is another little girl that they watch). Marilyn and Jack are the people that watch Elliot when we don't have daycare. They have become Elliot's adopted grandparents. Marilyn and Jack are my good friend Becky's in-laws. This was Elliot's Christmas gift from them. What a perfect gift for him. We went through Community Ed. so we rode on a bus, which Elliot loved. The last picture is of Elliot on the bus. During the show I had a hard time getting a good picture of Elliot's face, because he was to busy watching the show.

One Month Old

When Elliot was born my dad bought him a bear and brought it to him in the hospital. The bear my dad bought for him became the bear we used to take a picture of Elliot every month to measure his growth. My dad did the same thing for Whitney. Her bear isn't quite as big as Elliot's so I am still going to take a picture of her and Elliot's bear every month to get a good measure of her growth. The bear that my dad did get her is perfect for her though because it matches her pink and brown room.

I attempted to take her picture with the bear this morning, but I had a little to much help from Elliot so I didn't get any good ones of her by herself. However, I thought this one was pretty cute. Elliot felt the need to wear his stocking cap this morning. Finally at nap time I convinced him to take it off.
