Thanks Mom and Dad!

Thanks mom and dad for helping make Whitney's nursery so cute!!! I had decided that if we had a girl I wanted to do her nursery in pink and brown. After Whitney was born my mom and I found this bedding set. My parents bought it for her/me for her Christmas gift and then my dad painted her room! Painting Whitney's room was an all day project. Figuring out the math and taping for the stripes was the most time consuming part of the project. Thank goodness I had my dad, I would have never figured out the math part of it on my own.

Christmas Picture Out-Takes

Earlier this week we took pictures for our Christmas card and boy was that an adventure. Here are some that we didn't use but still turned out cute.

Elliot has a few famous looks these days and we captured one of them in this picture. When he is not happy he gives us a look from the side.

Here are a couple of pictures of Whitney that didn't quite work. My mom and I had fun getting some pictures of Whitney in her Christmas outfits. She was so layed back and let us do whatever. The stocking she is in was given to her while she was in the hospital. Our hospital has a volunteer department and all the babies born in December got stockings.

Christmas Tradition

When Gavin was 3 Grandma Peg and him started the tradition of making Christmas trees out of ice cream cones. This year Gavin made three of them. One for himself, Elliot, and Whitney. Elliot thought his tree was pretty yummy!

My Hospital Stay

This board was suppose to be for the nurses, but we had several people (Daddy, Uncle Ryan, Gavin, and Great Grandpa Lindahl) who decided to add to it. I am sure most of you can figure out who wrote what.

Elliot (I was glad that he wasn't the only one that was holding on to me)
Daddy and I could cuddle all day!

Mommy's bed is pretty comfortable!

Can we go home yet?

Whitney Abigail Sala

It's a girl! Whitney Abigail was born Wednesday, Dec. 10th at 11:30 PM. She came very quick. We got to the hospital at 11:10 and she was born at 11:30. She weighed 7lbs. 4 oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long. We are all doing well and are blessed to have a baby girl added to our family! We are excited for her big brothers to meet her. Elliot is coming later this afternoon and Gavin will be here tomorrow morning.

Daddy bought her this outfit this morning, so she had to show it off to everyone!

New Table

Doug and Mavis gave us our Christmas present early this year. We finally got a new table. Our old table was a table that Grant brought with him to the marriage. I have not been a fan of that table since day one. So thank you Doug and Mavis for the wonderful gift, I love our new table!!!
Elliot enjoyed the box that the chairs came in
Wake up dad!
Grant putting together the chairs, but not with out some help from his little helper
Here is the wonderful table!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Grant and I had Thanksgiving at our house this year. It was a wonderful day of visiting and eating. Doug and Mavis came for the weekend. Along with Grant's parents, my Grandma and Grandpa Lindahl, Uncle Tom, Ryan and Lorelei, and Grant's cousin and family (Todd, Gina, Mitchell, and Ethan) all came over. We had a great day and thanks to Grant for the wonderful meal! I am thankful for a husband that is a wonderful cook.

This is me at 37 weeks. Lorelei took this same picture of me at 37 weeks when I was pregnant with Elliot. When we compared the 2 pictures we think I am smaller this time around. I had to lean back much further to keep the glass on my belly this time.
Elliot sporting his new cozy sweat outfit that Grandma Sala bought for him. I was a little jeaoulus that day. I wished I had an outfit like that. He looked so cozy and warm.
